Tempur to Flobed to Saatva, Just Cannot find the Sweet Spot

My wife and I had a Tempurpedic. After a few years it started to sag. We got them to send us another one but it was not the same mattress as the first had been discontinued. The replacement was not good, then we got a hybrid Tempurpedic and that was horrible, we ended up getting a Flobed and have been on it for a few years now. But, I keep waking up with sore hips and sometimes a sore back because if I do not stay put in the VZone, my lumbar area slips down to the softer hip area. So, we went looking for a new bed. In the process got two Twin XL adjustable bases with the Saatva Classic. I am having hip pain in that one but no back pain. Wife, says Saatva no better than the Flobed, but we still have the Saatva as we are in trial period. I went and got a Tempur Breeze Luxe Hybrid and have been on it for 30 days and it still sleeps hard as a rock and tremendous hip pain. I tried a Beautyrest Black Series 4 and it feels amazing, but wonder if it is even worth the money to go that route or try to salvage the Saatva or the Flobed??? Please help. I am at the end of the road here.

Work with Flobeds to modify VZone. Id send Saatva back.

Id look into BackScience, Aireloom Preferred M1/M2 in firm/plush (4 mattresses), Aireloom Streamline series. I liked M1 Firm and Streamline Firm.

BeautyRest Black felt good too. Id say Aireloom > BeautyRest Black but try it yourself.

Ive been told BeautyRest Black 3 feels the same as BRB 4. 4 just had more microcoils. More isnt always better.

I have tried many variations of VZone. The problem is when I slip out of the lumbar zone, there is problems and the hip needs to be softer. I have Xfirm base, Firm Mid and VZone with medium head, plush shoulder firm lumbar medium hips X-Firm Knees and Firm Feet.

Wondering if BRB would be better than the Saatva? And better than the Flobed?

BRB is way better than Saatva. I went to the Saatva store in LA. I didnt like any of the Saatva.

Ive never had a FloBed so I wouldnt know about that.

Work with FloBeds on the VZone.

So, went back to Mattress Firm to return the Tempurpedic. They talked me into a Purple Rejuvenate Plus. Felt good in the store. Just slept on it for first time last night. Hip pain and shoulder pain. Luckily, I got the manager to put in writing that we could return or exchange this one more time. I will try it for a few days, but may end up just returning it (hopefully he was being truthful) and then go back to the Flobed to see if we can configure it somehow. We still have the Saatva Classics at home here too that are still under trial period. Not sure if I should look at anything else. Coming to my whits end here.

Id check out Aireloom Preferred M1/M2 in firm/plush. Richard from “Aireloom Mattress Reviews” on youtube has a good price.

Another option is BackScience. I have the BS2 which is for back and side sleeps. Phenomenal lower back support! BS3 is for side sleepers and is a bit more plush. Ultrabed/BackScience has Aireloom too that you can try if you are near Agoura Hills, CA.

I got a Purple 4 in 2018. Felt great in store. Once I got it, my back started to hurt. I had to return it.

Im sure Purple 4 is different than Purple Rejuvenate Plus. I have to say that Purple has some of the best feeling pressure relief, but I found that it was lacking support the back.

Wondo,

What happened? Are you still on the Purple?

John

Slept on it for three nights. Horrible. Was almost ready to get Back Science, but will return the Purple and try to work with Flobed for a while before going that route.

Gotcha! Keep us updated!
