I’m curious about how much of a comfort layer people end up with. I’m inclined to buy the cover at 11 inches, and stack other layers on top as needed. Does this seem reasonable? I’m open to an argument against this approach.
Usually 3 to 4 inches on top 8" coils. 1" or 2" foam under 3" or 2" latex. Since latex is bouncy, mattress makers use 1" PU/memory foam under the latex to make the latter comfortable for sleepers.
