Topper recommendation on top of all latex Nest Finch

I’m on the Nest Finch in Medium with their 3” soft latex topper.

So that’s 6” firm base, 3” medium, 3” soft. All Talalay latex. I was originally on firm / firm, then firm / firm / soft but I was in pain on both

Both the mattress and the topper have a 1” wool quilted cover

It’s pretty good but the mattress isn’t zoned so it’s a battle of does my lower back hurt or do my shoulders hurt.

I would like to find a zoned topper to support my lower back. I’ve tried using support pillows and always toss them in my sleep.

I’m wary of memory foam after sinking into my last mattress (Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Hybrid), but not completely a dealbreaker on the topper

5’5”, 130lbs, long torso which amplifies the back pain, and longstanding athletic injuries

Try to sleep on my back but often roll to my side, though that’s happening less since I switched to the Finch. The bounciness of the Talalay has really helped give me “pushback” support

I think Flobeds sells their VZone layer separately.

Wonder if something like this Lumbar Support would help? Could go either under the topper, or just over the 6” support layer inside the mattress. Could be an inexpensive way to add just a bit of lower back support.

They used to, but they have discontinued the Vzone topper…

I see the Vzone middle layer available in their components…but not sure that would work as a topper?

Interesting! Have you used this? If I put it under the topper do you think it will stain the topper cover?

I’ve not tried it, but I’m thinking about it to try and get just a little extra hip and lower back support. Not sure it it would stain, but may be worth wrapping in an old sheet to not take any chances.
