My husband and I just bought the king size Sleep EZ 10000 which arrived today! Shawn was super helpful and we have a split core and a Talalay topper. We also bought the slatted wooden split foundation. BTW, we got our Mattress Underground discount on both the mattress and foundation, and our free pillows! Anyway, we have not unpacked the mattress yet, because we also bought a new bedroom set which will be delivered next week. The bed consists of a headboard, footboard, side rails, and 3 steel support slats which run from side rail to side rail. The steel slats are evenly spaced between the headboard and footboard, and each slat has a couple of adjustable “feet”. Is this sufficient support for the 2 wooden foundations and mattress, or do we need to purchase some sort of additional support for the bed frame? Thanks for your help!
Hi kismet,
This could be OK as long as the feet provided enough support and strength in the center of the bed for the foundations which in turn would provide the support under the mattress that it needs as well. In other words the center of the steel slats should have good support to the floor instead of the legs only being on the sides. If you have a link to a picture that is similar I could probably give you a more 'definitive" answer?
