Most of the polyfoam or memory foam from the suppliers that are listed in the post I linked earlier come from North American foam manufacturers that are CertiPur certified. It’s the manufacturer of the foam that would be Certipur certified not the retailer or foam supplier that sells the foam. If a polyfoam or memory foam layer is manufactured in North America the I would personally have no issues with it in terms of “safety” and even if you don’t know which foam manufacturer specifically made it the odds are very high that it’s CertiPur certified. If it is made outside of North America … I would want to know that the foam manufacturer is CertiPur certified or has a certification for “safety” that is as good or better than CertiPur (such as Oeko-Tex).
