Try to find similar one like the Sleep to Live 400 serial Red ( firm ) mattress

We bought Sleep to Live 400 serial Firm Mattress ( Red tag ) 5 years ago, we like it very much - very comfortable and we can have very good sleep every night.

Now we want to get a new set of this mattress in our new home, but unfortunately Kingsdown discontinued “Sleep to Live” brand mattress products. so for experts in this form, from your knowledge base, what is the most close alternative mattress to the Sleep To Live 400 model? Doesn’t Kingsdown still producing other brand mattress using same technology as in Sleep to Live 400?

Here is information I found online about the Sleep to Live 400 mattress:

The exclusive technology of the Sleep to Live diagnostic system measures and analyzes your unique body profile as it scientifically recommends the right mattress for you.

The Sleep to Live 400 Series is available in four unique support levels; tan, green, blue, and red. It is available in any combination of the four levels so that you and your sleep partner can both experience the type of support your individual bodies need. There is no compromising when you purchase a Sleep to Live 400 Series.

Individually encased coils conform to your body so that you get correct spinal alignment no matter what position you are in as you move throughout the night. Each innerspring system is separated into personalized sleep zones, minimizing motion within the mattress so that you and your partner experience a full night’s sleep.

Like the 600 and 800 Series, the comfort layers within the Sleep to Live 400 Series are constructed using a patented process that significantly reduces tension across the mattress surface. The comfort layers are surrounded with a foam encased pillow top enhancing the overall size and dimensions of your mattress.

A true boxspring prolongs the lifespan and aides in the pressure relief offered by the Sleep to Live 400 Series by absorbing energy and weight.

With the sophisticated support system and advanced comfort layers, the Sleep to Live 400 Series has one of the most unique architectures of any mattress on the market today.

Thank you so much!

Best,

Hi qycusa,

Unfortunately … looking for a “similar” mattress in the current Kingsdown lineup or with any other manufacturer would be purely subjective and only your own testing will really be able to tell you which mattress feels similar to you in terms of PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences) regardless of whether it may feel similar to someone else.

The information you posted is all about marketing and says nothing that would be helpful or meaningful for a particular person in the real world.

This is just a marketing tool that is used to “lock you in” to a Kingsdown mattress (see post #2 here) and really only tells you what you can already feel with careful testing and says little about your alignment on a mattress. This would be something like using a machine to tell you what a food tastes like or whether you should eat it.

There is more about “matching” one mattress to another in post #9 here but Kingsdown doesn’t generally provide any meaningful information about the materials in their mattresses so it’s not really possible to match one of their old mattress to a new one based on specs or design. I would also question the wisdom of using a Kingsdown mattress as your “target” since this is one of the manufacturers I would tend to avoid in the first place (along with any manufacturer that doesn’t disclose the quality of the materials in their mattress).

I would strongly encourage you to read the tutorial post here which has all the basic information, steps, and guidelines that can help you make the best possible choices … and know how and why to avoid the worst ones which would include any mattress where you don’t know the quality of the materials inside it and are forced to make a completely “blind” purchase.

A forum search on Kingsdown (you can just click this) will also bring up more information and feedback about them as well.
