Hi,
I currently have a full size mattress that has started to give me lower back pain, i have only had but am trying to have the mattress last a little longer. I have seen articles about getting a mattress pad and topper. would this help with lower back pain? What are the best mattress pads and toppers for pain?

If the mattress is sagging or noticeably softened in an area that’s allowing you to sink in too deeply, that can result in an unnatural alignment of your spinal column which is a common cause of lower back pain. In this situation your lower back muscles are working in an attempt to maintain proper alignment and become strained. Unfortunately a topper can make a mattress which is too firm softer and more conforming but can’t make up for a lack of sufficient support. Sounds like you may need a more supportive mattress to keep your spine in proper alignment.
