Two 3" natural latex arrived today, my observations

Firstly, I bought both 3" layers from Sleep On Latex through Amazon. They came in on time, packaged nicely. I think the medium either does not come vacuum-sealed, or the seal was damaged in transit. I’m inclined to believe the former since the medium was in a bigger box.

They’re twin and before putting them onto the platform I just threw them on my innerspring. Slapped the medium topper on first (30ILD, +/-2 I think) and holy moly what a difference. It looked attractive, but it felt so thin and squishy I was worried 6 inches wasn’t enough. However, it was after I laid on it that I knew the purchase was worth it. The pressure-relief was outstanding. I always slept on my side for the 12 years I’ve had that innerspring, and I’m considering sleeping on my back with how well it conforms and relieves the pressure on my lower spine, hips, and even my knees feel like they’re gettomg pressure relief in the joints.

I’m looking forward to using it wothout the innerspring under it, but I haven’t gpt that far since I had to leave. There isn’t as much sinkage as with the memory foam topper I was using, so of you like the vradeled experience I would be weary. Also, I actually move when my heart beats. I dint know if this was because i was on an innerspring as well or if that is part of the mattress, so motion sick people should be weary, as well.

Apologies about typos, using my phone. Will correct errors whem I update this thread after using the mattress.

Also note: there was a small, timy red bug on the latex when I opened it up. I had laid on it for 20 minutes, amd got up then noticed it. Bit concerned its a bed bug. I live in Oregon and don’t travel, so if it is one then it got here on the mattress. Will update if I see more/wake up with bites.

Hi Connor,

Thanks for the update … and your experience so far sounds promising

Latex is very resilient and “bouncy” and it can be even more so on an innerspring.

I hope it isn’t a bed bug. You’ve probably already done the search but you can see some pictures of bedbegs here.
