Ultimate Dreams Pocketed Coil Mattress

I’d like to say first that this forum is fantastic and while mattress shopping is still overwhelming I feel like I’m not going in blind anymore.

I’ve been eyeing the different Ultimate Dreams latex mattresses and noticed when I looked today that there’s a new innerspring version that hasn’t been mentioned on here before (https://www.amazon.com/DreamFoam-Bedding-Ultimate-Pocketed-Mattress/dp/B00EVAT3LC). I’m planning on contacting the seller to find out about shipping and the possibility of different firmness levels. It seems strange to me that they would venture into innerspring mattresses especially with the shipping implications, and it also makes me leery since from what I can tell they don’t have as much experience with innersprings (does that even matter?). Does anyone have any experience with this mattress or have any insight?

Hi everyday,

The mattress is new and there hasn’t been any feedback about it on the forum yet (although I’ve linked to it a few times) but it is certainly very unusual to find a pocket coil mattress with 2" of latex in this budget range.

I don’t know the specifics of the other foam used in the mattress but like all their mattresses it would certainly be good value from a materials perspective.

They have a compression machine and short term compression doesn’t harm pocket springs so I believe it ships compressed through courier to save on shipping costs.

While Dreamfoam currently only has a few spring mattresses available (including two pocket coils and their budget saver Bonnell coil mattress) … they are knowledgeable and familiar with all the different mattress components and materials.

Of course I would make sure you have a more detailed conversation with them to find out any missing information that is important to you and to get their guidance about whether the mattress would likely be suitable for your specific needs and preferences in terms of PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences) because it’s much more costly to return a mattress once it’s been decompressed.

Hello all,
I am new to this site and have been searching through the forums for information on the mattress described in this post. I was curious if there has been any more recent updates that can be found. I have tried to call the company to ask about the mattress, but am waiting for a call back since there was no answer when I called. I am new to the memory foam/latex mattresses and have never purchased one before. I am looking for a cheap alternative to an expensive bed seeing as I can’t afford a top of the line mattress. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi deadblkroses,

Not to my knowledge.

Other than your conversation with them though … I would make sure you’ve read the tutorial post here which has the basic information, steps, and guidelines you will need to make the best possible choices and help you choose the materials and components that are the best “match” for you in terms of PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences) and durability inside your budget range.
