Our Ultimate Dreams Supreme 12" GEL has arrived. It arrived in a perfectly intact box. on 11-13-2015. It was shipped on 11-9-15. It was only just manufactured on 11-02-15. This too is why I went with a USA company and ordering directly from Dreamfoambedding. I wanted to be sure the mattress had not been compressed for ages (thus the potential to compromise the foam) and sitting inside the plastic all that time (which could contribute to more off gassing). I can tell you, this was one of my wife biggest concerns and we did not even need to open any windows.
I have a Platform Bed, with a Sterns and Foster mattress of only a couple of years. I am a side sleeper and the bed was killing me. Therefore, I have never been more excited to sleep on a Mattress and give this mattress a try. I wanted to last night, but wanted to be certain to give it at least a full 24 hours minimum to fully expand, even though it was already at a full 12" in less than an hour.
Here is what the Ultimate Dreams Supreme 12" GEL looks like in in our Platform. It is calling out to us to sleep on tonight. As you can see it is fully expanded. The dimensions are a little off, but from what I read they are within the threshold of tolerance. As of this morning, after being opened for 13 hours, I measured 59.33" wide and 79.5" Long, maybe it will expand a bit more?
…Now, my only concerns (issues) so far: I was suppose to have a free Pillow and had corresponded with Chuck at Dreamfoambedding, and he assured me that it would be added. At that time, I told him just to add a second to my order and charge me for that one. He contacted me back, and indicated I would need to order the additional Pillow, as they don’t keep the credit card numbers after a purchase has been made. So I ordered, the 2nd Pillow. It is suppose to be here today; I hope they both are in the box. …But , If not, Chuck I want my free Pillow
Now this part, does really kind of bother me. …But, I am trying to come to terms to just deal with it - as it won’t compromise the sleep comfort. However, I need to point it out so the manufacture can ensure it is addressed and be able to continue to grow and improve as a company.
I have melted Plastic on my brand new Bed It appears that the heat where they compress the plastic together pinched the fabric of my mattress and now has the unsightly melted plastic on the felt type fabric on the bottom side face of the mattress.
Does anyone know how to remove melted plastic, without ruining the fabric?
Well sorry for my novel, but, I am so excited to hopefully be able to sleep on my side pain free. I will write more and tell you how it actually feels to sleep on this mattress, and to let you know if it truly provides Ultimate Dreams…
