I read a lot in this forum and tried out several mattresses in stores. I thought I liked the Tempurpedic Pro Adapt. I bought the Tempflow Elite Conforma because I preferred to buy from the smaller, domestic company. The Tempflow people told me it was close to the Tempurpedic–if anything a bit firmer, which was good with me, I want a firm mattress, my biggest concern is how sagging affects my back, I’m usually more comfortable lying on a carpeted floor than sitting in a sofa or easy chair. I’m at about 100 days with my Elite Conforma, and it has softened where I sleep; next to this area is a sort of ridge that is firmer. When I try to lie there I end up rolling down to the softer area. It will of course be a horrible hassle to return or exchange this bed but I feel I need to. But now I have so many questions again. (Probably I’ve already read the answers in this forum but I just can’t start over again.) If anyone can answer any of these for me I’d be grateful.
Did I buy the wrong mattress for me?
Is the soft area just from breaking in, or will it continue to get softer? Tempflow told me that theirs is unlike the Tempurpedic, which will continue to get softer over its life.
Is there a mattress that will be as firm in the long run as the ProAdapt is in the store?
