Unwrapped Dreamfoam 12in1

Do we need to do anything before we start sleeping in it? I believe we don’t need a box spring, correct? There were no instruction enclosed. Thanks

Hi Mstrlucky74,

You should be able to sleep on it once it’s fully decompressed.

No I wouldn’t use a box spring (which has springs) for a foam mattress (see the foundation post here and the two links in the second paragraph) but a non flexing evenly supportive support surface such as a foundation or a platform bed that didn’t have gaps between the slats that were wide enough for the mattress to sag into the gaps and gave you the height you are comfortable with would be the usual choice.

Thanks a lot Phoenix. One last question. How do I know when it’s fully decompressed?

Hi Mstrlucky74,

When it measures to its full height (11") but for the most part the decompression should be very quick (seconds) and should be fine to sleep on within an hour or less (just to give the foam a chance to “rest” for a bit).

Well slept in it for the fist night(wife did not)… and have a few comments/questions.

It seems like the mattress is split in two down the middle??? Also, once side seems firmer than the other, could that be?

Hi Mstrlucky74,

I’m not sure what you mean here but if you call them they should be able to answer any questions you may have about its construction.

Yes … the mattress is adjustable. One side of the cover has a firmer quilting than the other and you can also rearrange the layers to customize the comfort and support of the mattress. It comes with 3 different layers which each have a different firmness level (and a different color) which gives you 6 possible layering combinations and then the two different firmness levels in the cover is what gives you the total of 12 possible combinations that you can use to customize the mattress.

Thanks

Hi mstrlucky74,

I’d be curious to know which combination of layers you started with when you put the mattress together.
