For the mattress nerds out there — now that our global patents have officially been issued, I’m excited to share a brief video of our latest innovation: the Gen-E Glue-Free Pocket Coil Assembly System.
In this new system, each row of coils is thermally welded together, creating a much stronger and more permanent bond — no glue required. This breakthrough technology is a game changer and will soon make traditional glued pocket coil assemblies a thing of the past.
The best part? Any coil configuration — zoned, firm sides, or a combination of both — can now be made completely glue-free. And perhaps most importantly, the finished unit is 100% recyclable. With mattress waste becoming a growing problem worldwide, removing glue makes recycling far easier. (Ask any recycling facility — glue is their biggest headache when it comes to breaking down old mattresses.)
It’s exciting to see our industry beginning to focus more on sustainability through efforts like the Mattress Sustainability Council. We’re proud to be contributing with real, scalable innovation designed and built right here in Alvarado, TX.
