I just found this Wonderful Video , for those that need to Repack for Returns on all Toppers, Latex, Matresses also I believe. Perfection!!! Should help many that need to return.
Interesting!
Nice! If it’s any help to someone who may have to do this single-handedly, the pallet wrap works great but can be kind of unwieldy. You can unroll a few feet of the pallet wrap and lay it on the floor (still connected to the roll), then lay out your folded foam so that the last few feet lay on top of the wrap. Start rolling from the other end and when you get to that point, roll the wrap up with the mattress. Then when you get to the end, it is easy to bring the pallet wrap up over the top and wrap around a few times. Hope this helps.
Hi Bunny1999,
Thanks for linking the video.
There are also some instructions for packaging latex layers in post #5 here that should be helpful as well (although it’s not a video).
Manufacturers or retailers that sell component mattresses with layers that can be exchanged will also generally provide instructions for returning or exchanging them and in some cases they can just be returned in the original shipping boxes without even needing to compress them.
It would be much more difficult (and depending on the specific mattress perhaps not even possible) to compress an entire mattress that didn’t have individual layers.

My gut tells me that was NOT a firm layer. Probably the softest layer available. One person can’t wrap a folded firm layer with such ease.
Well, maybe the Hulk can.

While it’s a little awkward with thicker or firmer cores for one person … most people generally wouldn’t have a problem with wrapping a latex layer … even if it’s firmer (although it’s easier with two people). You can see another video here of one person rolling up a 6" firmer support core.

It is hard but I’ve rolled 2 & 3" layers. I rolled it on the floor, using my hands to roll it and then putting my knees on it to hold it in place. I used the pallet wrap like I described above. Yes I was a little sore after! When there’s a will there’s a way lol
Phoenix your so welcome, happy to be of help to all!
I liked your Video too! They sure make it look fairly easy, although they are experts.
I am sure Guys can pack easier, with the correct tools, plastic, large saran wrap, plastic bags,
Ect.
If I had to I would surely try it, of course I would make sure I had a helper.
Thank you happy I could help, you do it daily.
