Waking up feeling bruised on latex mattress

Hello everyone,

We had bought a build your own latex mattress from sleep easy years ago. I thought I loved it so I actually went ahead and bought one for our RV last year as well. I have a lot of problems with my hips, shoulders, neck, and back. I have heds which affects the connective tissue and makes the joints a bit looser. I’m quite the mess LOL. Lately, I’m waking up a hundred times a night and I cannot get comfortable. When I wake up in the morning I literally feel bruised although I am not. I’m starting to wonder if the mattress could have been making things worse the whole time. Does anyone have this latex mattress? Right now,I have it set at soft, medium, firm. I’ve tried putting a 2-in topper on it and I’ve also tried unzipping the mattress cover. Nothing seems to help. Looking for suggestions from others that may have had this and had success with adding a certain topper or configuring it in a different way.

You may do better with a soft 2 or 3” talalay topper on top, based on your weight, if you do not want to modify the layers to a soft, soft, firm or soft, soft medium combination. Sometimes with certain health issues, pointing at a mattress to resolve those issues is a big ask.

The cozypure noodle topper is a very fluffy more weightless feel option too, plus the noodle fill displaces differently than a solid topper and may hit the spot at localizing pressure points, I would only recommend it if you are not a plus size person. I find that the solid latex, even softer, tend to offer more structure and durability longer term.

I have S-M-F as well, it works for me. But I tried about a dozen other permutations before landing on this. You could try S-S-M… or you might need S-S-F. you might want to call them ask them. It’s really hard to say without trying, unfortunately.
