Where to look and compare mattresses ?

I’m new to this forum and a novice on the whole mattress adventure. My first question is where would you recommed me to start looking for mattresses in the 16127 area code.? I’m trying to become an educated buyer and get the right mattress at the best price. Thanks and I’m sure I have more questions in the future. I know we want an innerspring. Any recommendations ?

Hi jmrandwgm,

Welcome to the Mattress Forum!

The better options or possibilities I’m aware of that are within reasonable driving distance of you are listed in post #2 here (in about a 100 mile radius of Youngstown, OH) and in post #2 here which covers the Pittsburgh region.

As I have the chance over the course of the next few days I’ll also take a look in the Grove City area to see if there are any possibilities I can see that are close to your immediate area that may also be worth considering.

Hi jmrandwgm,

I’ve done some preliminary research into the area around Grove City, PA (within about 50 miles or so) and these are the better options or “possibilities” I’ve seen so far in the more immediate area along with the brands their websites indicate they carry that I would focus on.

I would consider these on a “mattress by mattress” basis and of course I would always call and make sure that you will be able to find out the information you need (see here) about the quality of the materials so you can identify any weak links in any mattress you are seriously considering and make meaningful comparisons with other mattresses before taking the time to visit them. I haven’t had the chance to talk with most of them and find out specifically what they have on their floor so this is based mostly on what they list on their websites.
