I live in Casper, WY and want to start the process of looking for a new bed. Currently sleeping on a Tuft&Needle king sized memory foam. Had for almost 4 years. Felt great for about a year and getting progressively worse. It’s become what my wife and I call a taco bed. Anyways, we’d like to try to figure out what we prefer and of course the other 2 P’s but unsure how to start when there aren’t any trusted companies in my town. Can anyone suggest how and where to start looking? Thank you in advance
Welcome to the TMU Forum ! Thanks for your question.
Congrats on your new mattress shopping journey ! Appreciate that you reviewed TMU’s trusted member directory first for planning store visits. While they have no showrooms in your area, they are still worth considering once you have a clearer idea of what mattresses/ materials/ constructions interest you most.
After doing a google search of “mattress shopping casper wy” to see who the players are in the area, it seems there are a variety of choices out there; however, the TMU doesn’t maintain a database of “reputable” retailers as it is impossible to accurately track them as well as have an understanding of their products/ business practices and thus how the TMU trusted member program came to be. I did notice the presence of a Sit’n Sleep (a California-based specialty mattress shop), and while I have no personal knowledge of this particular store location, they are generally known for being a good resource.
Before making any store visits, you’ll want to brush up on a few Phoenix tutorials, such as “Finding a Great Mattress Outlet”, featuring in the “Always make a phone call before visiting and testing mattresses” section a list of questions for the showroom you plan to visit. These will help you with discussing your preferences with the manufacturer. Also the classic “Mattress Shopping Tutorial: How to Look for and Find the best mattress for YOU!” is an in-depth review of understanding all parts of the research, selection and purchase process.
Hope this helps you get started; drop by when you can and let us know how your research is coming along… .
