Would a full latex mattress hold up better on adjustable base than a hybrid?

I was originally looking at the Nest ASH but started being intrigued by a latex mattress. The only thing in my local area is a Nest store. The ASH felt good to me but not so much on their latex options. I am unsure if there is a different feel to latex vs a latex hybrid. Whatever I get will be a split king with an adjustable base so it can be tailored for me and my wife’s different needs. If I do decide to go with a Latex from one of the vendors here is a full latex option going to hold up better on an adjustable base than a hybrid? I may just end up with the Nest ASH if my wife likes it when she gets to the store but I’m leaning towards a latex option personally.

Hi scamp.

The short answer is, yes, there is a difference in feel. A latex hybrid has innersprings in the support layer, giving the mattress the typical “bounce” and feel associated with a traditional mattress.

This is a great question for the vendor you choose to purchase from. All-latex beds are excellent candidates for an adjustable base. Leggett and platt adjustable bases are particularly popular with those who are choosing an adjustable base + all latex bed combination. Hybrid mattresses are also flexible enough to adjust to the movement of an adjustable base - but always check with the retailer or manufacturer you choose to purchase from as they’ll be the best source of knowledge with regards to the most appropriate base for their mattresses.
