I think I have over-researched and am very unsure what mattress would be best for my husband and I. I have been looking at Vispring and sleepez. Two very different mattresses and very different price points. Cost isn’t an issue; I just want something that is going to last and get both of us a good night’s rest. I was seeing a lot of recommendations for latex in my quest for a new mattress, which put me into research mode and now I’m lost.
I am 5’5 about 160lbs (150-170 depending on how much effort I’m putting in) and a side or stomach sleeper. I have hip and back pain and work long hours.
My husband is 6’5 about 310lbs and he is a side or a back sleeper. He has constant back and shoulder pain.
We’re both fairly young and frustrated with the sleeping situation.
We have been together 5 years and have had 3 mattresses. All from big name brands such as Sealy or similar, all coiled pillow tops - one medium, one plush, and one medium firm. All of them dipped horribly, are lumpy even with flipping, and are just never that comfortable after a couple of months.
Most important qualities are durability and softness. I LOVE a plush mattress and so does my husband, but his body size doesn’t support that. We want a mattress for more than 18 months that stays comfortable and doesn’t dip. Any suggestions?
