Hi!
Summary- I am looking for a new mattress, surprise surprise. I am 200 lbs, 5’3, side sleeper, 36 years old and have had 2 babies in the last 2 years. Both usually end up sleeping with me. Husband is in separate bed. I already have a latex topper I’d love to keep using.
I have always loved soft, plush beds but probably need something medium or firm due to my weight, though unsure how that will work with side sleeping? A few years ago I got a very expensive plush split king tempurpedic that is basically a torture device now. My husband still enjoys his firm side! I moved to the guest bed to be more comfortable and to let the toddler sleep with me without bothering dad. The guest bed needs to be replaced- it’s old and very uneven from years of use in the past. I typically wake up with sore hips. I purchased a 2 in medium-firm latex topper from SleepOnLatex to help in the meantime. I’m unsure if I’m better off with pure latex mattress (I’ve always loved the bouncy feel in my pillows) or hybrid with coils? I am not a fan of memory foam because of my experience but also not super safe with little ones in the bed. What would be best to support my needs? Currently looking at budget friendly options, like the Roma mattress based on my searches through this forum. Edge support is also
Important to me because of the little ones- any thoughts on the Awara Natural Luxury Hybrid Mattress
