I’m in the process of buying a 4lb 4" memory foam and been looking at the Aerus 4lb 4" Twin XL for around $289
I also been looking at the Foam Factory site which is also a CertiPur certified memory foam. Theirs 4LB ViscoPLUSH Memory Foam Topper 4" Twin XL is only $115.
Does anyone have any experience with Foam Factory? Why such a big difference in price? Is the Aerus really worth the price?

I would read this post and this post and this topic (about their polyfoam and sources) and this post (presumably from a past employee) before buying anything from Foam by Mail (AKA FBM and Foam Factory) or considering them as a reliable supplier … especially if the specific properties or firmness level of the foam you are buying is “application critical” and would make a significant difference to you.
If it solves the problem that you are hoping to solve then it would be but if it doesn’t then it wouldn’t.
A 4" thick memory foam topper is very likely to be thicker than you need and could be risky in terms of alignment. If you are just looking to add some additional pressure relief to a mattress that is too firm and your mattress is still in very good condition and doesn’t have any soft spots or sagging on the sleeping surface then post #2 here and the topper guidelines it links to has more information about choosing a topper that can help you use your actual sleeping experience as a reference point to choose the type, thickness, and firmness for a topper that has the best chance of success and also includes a link to the better online topper sources I’m aware of as well.

I need 4inches due to my side starts to hurt with anything smaller. I have 4" of 4lbs now but its starting to sag. I even cut in into thirds and rotate them each week. I bought a 3" 5lb Memory Cool Gel foam from EBay PrimeCut but it was way to hard and had to send it back. Not sure where they buy their foam from and will not tell. ($225+50sh for a twin XL)
It gets expensive to buy a memory foam and have to send it back (~$40)
Therefore I’m looking for a decent 4" 4lb memory foam that will not sag in a year or two. Willing to pay extra for a good quality foam but hard to compare memory foam from site to site.
At least I can compare Aerus from site to site to find the best price.

I would keep in mind that the single biggest factor in the durability of memory foam will be its density and that higher density memory foams will be more durable and less subject to either virtual impressions (foam softening) and visible impressions than higher density memory foams but that density isn’t directly related to the softness or firmness of different memory foams or some of it’s other properties that can also affect how soft a particular memory foam feels so you can have softer or firmer versions of memory foam in any density and the firmness of a topper can also affect the thickness that works best for you (or vice versa) because softness and thickness can both affect how soft a memory foam topper will feel.
With thicker toppers … foam softening can have a bigger impact in terms of PPP (Posture and alignment, Pressure relief, and Personal preferences) because it may be “on the edge” of being too soft for you even when it is new so even a relatively small amount of foam softening can put you outside the range that is a good “match” for you. I would also keep in mind that if there are any soft spots or visible impressions in your mattress that a topper will tend to sag into the soft spots or impressions in the mattress so in this case a topper will generally be a partial or temporary solution at best. For most people a 4 lb memory foam topper would last for more than 2 years but if you are in a higher weight range (more than the lower 200 lb range or so) then a higher density and more durable topper may be worth considering.
There are many good quality memory foams available with a wide range of properties, densities, and firmness levels besides Aerus so I’m not so sure I would only focus on one specific type of memory foam. Like buying a mattress … the most important part of the “value” of a topper purchase is how suitable it will be for you in combination with the mattress you are using it on and if I was in your shoes I would probably put more emphasis on the “value” of a good return or exchange policy for a topper than I would on only considering a single brand so that if you make a mistake and your topper doesn’t turn out as well as you hoped for you still have good options available to you to return or exchange it for something else in either a different thickness or a different density or firmness level.
