Affordable Queen for a Side sleeper

Hey guys! I’m very new to the mattress buying world, and I’m looking for some advice. I’m moving out of the house soon and I’ve been sleeping on a cheap twin my whole life. Overall I sleep okay, waking up with occasional neck pain. I’m looking to hopefully upgrade to a queen, but I’m a broke college student so I am definitely on a budget. I’m 5’8 and 150lbs, and an avid side sleeper. My mom tells me I should spend a lot of money on a mattress as it is a good investment. My dad tells me to just get a cheap one. My budget is $200-$500. I’ve searched amazon and seen a lot of mixed reviews on a lot of different mattresses and I’m looking for some expert guidance. Any advice??

Amazon may not be your best choice. For a queen size under $500 Brooklyn Bedding may be your best shot.

For a little firmer option Engineered Sleep

Hi Lucidchair and welcome to the forums and thanks for the inquiry! You might want to consider the Latex Essentials mattress from Sleep EZ - https://sleepez.com/product/essential-latex-mattress/ It’s $399 for a queen with no charge for shipping.

It’s an INCREDIBLE value and it’s a great mattress as well! I actually sleep on this myself, I’ve been on it for over 9 years and I think it’s amazing!

Wow, that seems like a pretty good deal!

I know it’s crazy! And it’s just because we decided to change to a different cover for this mattress and we have to get rid of our stock on the old covers.

Does this sale end on 4/30 with the rest of the spring sale or just until the mattress is out of stock?

While supplies last, so you still have plenty of time.
