I live in the high country of Colorado. My feet stay really cold in winter. I love my heated mattress pad. Any suggestions as to which mattress type/ materials are best suited to the use of a heated mattress pad? I have read that foam tends to break down faster with use of electric heat. I’m 130# and am a side sleeper, so I prefer a softer, yet supportive feel. Where should I start?

Heat can have an effect on the durability of temperature sensitive foams such as memory foam and gel memory foam so I would tend to avoid these with a heated mattress pad (or at the very least I would use it very cautiously … see post #2 here).
It will have much less effect on materials that aren’t temperature sensitive so they would be fine.
