My husband and I desperately need a new mattress. My husband and I are both back/side sleepers and like a medium-firm mattress that leans a bit more on the firm side. Since we be both suffer from heartburn at night and my husband uses a CPAP, we plan on getting 2 twin XL-mattresses so we can each raise the head or foot of our bed independently, whenever we need to. After doing a lot of shopping in stores and eliminating all of the inferior brands that aren’t recommended on here, we have narrowed down our choices to the following mattresses:
Bowles Imperial 15.5" Faux Pillow Top, which contains the following:
Performance fabric quilted to 1.5" 1.5 density foam
2" 1.8 Density Convoluted Foam
2" 1.8 Density Convoluted Foam
.75" 1.5 oz Fiber Pad Support Layer
ELS Enhanced Lumbar Support
768 8" TPS Tri Zone Quad Coil
1" 1.8 Firm Foam Base Layer
coil count on each twin XL mattress is 488 coils
Bowles Kodiak 13.5" mattress, which contains the following:
Performance fabric quilted to 1 1/2" 1.5 density foam
2" 1.8 Density Convoluted Foam
.75" 1.5 oz Fiber Pad Support Layer
ELS-Enhanced Lumbar System
768 8" TPS Tri Zone Quad Coil
1" 1.8 density Foam Base Layer
coil count on each twin XL mattress is 488 coils
- This mattress appears to be the same as the Bowles Imperial listed above without the pillowtop.
Bowles West Baden Springs Hotel Classic - 13" mattress, which contains the following:
Performance fabric quilted to 1 1/2" foam
1" 7 zone 3.8 density firm latex
2" 1.8 density supersoft foam
1" 4lb gel infused memory foam layer
.75’ 1.5 oz fiber pad
.25" insulator pad
6" 12.5 hotel grade offset spring unit
coil count on twin XL is 275 coils
We would like some advice from the experts on here regarding these mattresses. Do you have any concerns about the materials that are listed? Is the West Baden Springs worth $400-$500 more than the other 2? All three of these mattresses seem to be equally comfortable so we are having a hard time making a decision on which ones to buy.
