Box Spring/Foundation Help

Hi all, I am currently shopping for a new mattress and will need a 4, 7, or 9 inch box spring/foundation (depending on the mattress I choose). I realize “box springs” dont have springs anymore.

My original attempt at a mattress (“S” brand) is being returned. When I bought the S brand, i purchased the matching S brand foundation and it arrived broken, and looked to be terrible quality.

I am going to need a split queen foundation to sit on a iron bed frame. Some bed manufacturers sell the “matching” foundation for an exorbant price. I’ve seen upwards of $700 for split queen foundations and I don’t want to spend that and dont care to match the bed and foundation.

Does anybody have recommendations for high quality foundations (split queen)? And what I should i be looking for in materials?

Thank you so much for your response. We do believe it has to be a split Queen…we struggle even getting a Queen mattress around the corners and into the bedroom. These are great options! For the US box spring, we wouldn’t need a split since we can build it ourselves. Thanks again!
