Building a Mattress Similar to Harvest

Hi,

I’m 6ft 2, 195lbs - side and back sleeper. My partner is 5ft 2, 125lbs stomach and side sleeper and we are shopping for a King.

We’ve been trying a lot of mattresses and we seem to both prefer latex hybrids. The ones we have most consistently liked are (in order):

  1. The Harvest Green Original
  2. The Harvest Green Pillowtop
  • Might be too soft for me, maybe we could replicate this in a split topper configuration with a firmer topper on my side?
  1. Savvyrest - firm/medium/soft (talalay)
  • This is fine on my side, but on my back the push-back from the talalay seems to hurt my lower back a bit. Almost like is over-curving my spine if that makes sense.

Could you help us build something similar to the above from APM? Or maybe you have a recommendation that is similar in feel.

Based on Harvests mattress construction I think the setup would be something like:

Harvest Green Original

  • 8 inch bolsa coils
  • 2 inch dunlop
  • Wool topper (do you sell these?)

Harvest Green Pillowtop

  • 8 inch bolsa coils
  • 2 inch medium dunlop
  • 2 inch soft dunlop
  • Wool topper

Thanks!

Sure, we have all those components except wool toppers because we quilt New Zealand wool into our zippered covers already. Call us direct if you need assistance picking out the layers 888-773-7326

Updating my post here after talking with Ken. My wife preferred the Harvest Pillowtop as it was and I felt it was a bit too soft so I decided to make my half a bit firmer. To make the split firmnesses we had to change the top layer to Talalay even though the Harvest is 2 layers of dunlop. So we didn’t end up replicating it exactly.

We ordered:

  • 8 inch coils
  • 2 inch medium dunlop
  • 2 inch split Soft/Medium Talalay
  • Bamboo and wool cover

I’ll report back what we think when we receive it and sleep on it for a while! Thanks, Ken, for helping us pick everything out.
