We are considering the Select Sleep Hybrid as well as your sister company LME’s Luxurion hybrid.
I’m particularly wondering which has an overall softer feel and looking for the ILDs of the latex in the comfort layers and differences in coils.
About us:
This is our first latex mattress. We like a plush bed. The things we’ve tried in store that we like are: avocado green mattress firm with 2-3” plush talalay topper (I think it’s 14 ild), Suite Sleep Portfolio plush (firm Dunlop, soft Dunlop, soft Talalay).
I fully expect to need a soft topper to put on any of the hybrids you carry considering our preferences for customers.
Person 1) 5’5” 160 lbs, side and some stomach sleep, herniated disc in neck
Person 2) 5’7”, 150 lbs, side and back sleeper, bulging disc lower back
The Select Sleep Hybrid is designed with a 3” soft (19–20 ILD) natural Dunlop comfort layer over 6” pocket coils, with a 2” firm natural Dunlop layer beneath the coils. The soft side is finished with organic cotton knit quilted to 1” of wool. This model is flippable, with the bottom side featuring a non-quilted organic cotton knit for a firmer feel.
The Luxerion Hybrid from Latex Mattress Factory provides a more plush feel. It is a one-sided mattress built with a 3” soft Natural Talalay (19–20 ILD) comfort layer over 6” pocket coils, with a 1” HD foam base layer for coil protection. The top panel features organic cotton knit quilted to about 1.5” of soft CertiPUR foam. The combination of Talalay latex and the extra quilting foam creates a noticeably softer, more pressure-relieving surface.
Both mattresses will provide excellent support and pressure relief at your respective body weights and sleep positions. However, if maximum pressure relief—particularly for side sleeping—is your priority, I recommend the Luxerion Hybrid.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any additional questions. Have a great day!
Thanks. What’s the density of the foam in the quilting of the Luxurion?
Also, we’re considering some of the all latex builds too. For your Organic latex mattress, is the whole mattress returnable, or only layers? And is all your soft Talalay 19 ild?
The quilting foam used in the Luxerion Hybrid mattress is a 2.0 lb density.
For our Natural or Organic layered models, if you decide to return the mattress, the entire mattress would indeed be returned. These models include a 90-day return policy with a flat $99 return fee. We coordinate with a third-party service to handle the pickup for you.
In terms of firmness options, we offer four ILD ranges in both our Dunlop and Talalay latex lines:
