What do you think of Energex Foam?
I’ve seen the name pop up on some recent mattress searching.
What density should I look for – same as polyfoam, 1.8+? Or more like memory foam, 4.0+?

We understand the importance of choosing the right materials for your mattress. Energex foam, classified as a “high performance polyfoam,” was first coined by Phoenix on The Mattress Underground around 2015. This type of foam is part of a category of polyfoams that are formulated to have properties that can approximate the feel and benefits of latex or memory foam, depending on their specific formulation.
Energex foam is usually placed in the uppermost layers of a mattress to maximize comfort and responsiveness. With its higher density, Energex foam is durable. When selecting a mattress with Energex or similar high-performance polyfoams, we recommend choosing a density of at least 2 lbs. This density typically ensures that you are getting a material that will be durable.
It’s also important to remember that the overall feel, performance, and durability of a mattress depend on the combination of all its materials and components and not a singular component. And, let’s not forget what supports the mattress, such as the bed frame or foundation. While high-performance polyfoams like Energex offer many advantages, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. The best mattress for you will depend on your individual preferences and needs.
Amazing - Thank you so much
