equivalent to Brooklyn Bedding Alexis Aloe latex mattress

I bought an “Alexis Aloe” from Brooklyn Bedding in 2014, and my wife and I are very happy with it. We’re looking to purchase a second bed, and I could use some help finding a similar mattress since the “Alexis Aloe” is no longer available.

Background info: I believe the Alexis is a 14" mattress made from a 7" high-density foam base, two 3" blended talalay layers, and a 1" wool/cotton top. I bought the medium firmness version, and I think we have a 28 ILD latex layer on top of the 24 ILD layer. I paid $1299 for a queen mattress back in 2014.

It seems like there are a ton of companies offering latex mattress now so I’m a little overwhelmed with all of the options. Any recommendations for a similar mattress?

Also, I don’t need an exact match, e.g. I’m not sure we need a 14" mattress (I weigh 180 lbs and my wife is lighter). I also wouldn’t mind a cheaper option (who wouldn’t?) but I can also stretch the budget slightly if there’s a higher quality mattress that’s not too much more expensive.

Thanks for your help!

I believe I can help you, our DIY site has all the components you would need to duplicate. Here are the links to the foam core, latex toppers and zippered cover -

You can save a little money by going with the 6" core instead of the 7". Let me know if you have any other questions.

Great suggestion, thanks! Somehow I forgot about the DIY option once you have a sense of which layers you want in your mattress.

Once you know your components it’s easy to DIY through our site.
