I read on their site that their latex comes from Europe. Is this kosher?
I need a 3" soft blended Talalay topper and have looked at Brooklyn Bedding, Mattress247 on ebay and Foam Factory. And now I’m reading that Mattress247 deals in seconds.

Phoenix will be much more helpful than I, but when I was making my purchasing decision I had asked Mattresses247 this exact question. She stated that she stopped dealing in seconds in 2012 and now only sold new material. I ultimately went with someone else but I believed her that she is only selling new items now. Hope that helped at least a little.
Yes, I did communicate with Valerie and this is what she said: "Whatever site your read is quite outdated. I stopped selling seconds over two years ago.
By the way…since some people aren’t clear about what seconds are—it was brand new latex with slight flaws that did not effect its function/performance or longevity of the latex. My listings at the time clearly stated that my product was seconds and my customers thanked me many times for the great value they received. It became too much of a chore to locate the quality seconds–hence my changeover to new."
Hi Jannygoats,
This is all correct and the posts where you read this were probably fairly old.
I would be very cautious in dealing with Foam Factory (aka FBM, Foam by mail, and many others). You can read more in post #2 here and post #2 here and in this thread. They don’t sell Talalay latex (even though that’s what they claim to be selling).
