Hi,

I am hoping for some guidance here. I am ordering the Glacier Apex King, and I ordered this bed, https://tinyurl.com/3md7y9my.

It says expressly, " * The width of each slat is 1.75 inches. The distance between the slats is 4.5 inches." So I recognize that the slats are too far apart. What type of foundation would be appropriate for this? The area where the mattress will sit is already about 10" high, according to the diagram. The mattress itself is 14" tall. So I don’t think I want a foundation any taller than 2". For stats, my husband and I are between 5’8 “and 6’2” and 170-185 pounds. My BMI is around 26, and my husband’s is around 24, if this helps.

The only 2" foundation I can think of, is the big fig low profile. Someone else may have other options though.

I found this product with metal slats. They are spaced 2.9" apart, but the slats themselves are only 1’’ H x 0.5’’ W. It is a steel frame. Would something like this work? Amazon.com

The slat bars are very thin and may cut into the mattress. You could still place a flat bunkie board on top of the bars to be safe.

Something like this would be great.
