Happy With Memory Foam But Need New

I’ve been very happy with the Bergad Isoform memory foam mattress (13" total on 7" core) I’ve had for almost 14 years now but it is giving away under me. I partly want to think I could just replace the core but really don’t know where the failure point is to be expected all these years out. Should I tear it down and evaluate the layers? I’m open to buying a new mattress but with so much talk about Latex here I haven’t seen much recent information on how to get a good memory foam mattress (short of going to Tempurpedic).

Hi Spacecatx and welcome to the forums! The components are likely glued together, so it’s hard to imagine you wouldn’t destroy the components by taking it apart. 14 years is a really good amount of time for a memory foam mattress, so it might be best to let this one go an get a new mattress, just my 2 cents!

It appears they are no longer producing mattresses.

This may be the right time to experience a quality latex mattress with @Sleep_EZ. At the very least you will have a mattress built with a quality core and comfort layer. If you ultimately perfer that sinking memory foam feel, you could always add a tempurpedic memory foam topper since would already have established a great core mattress. Or even better yet, I would bet that if you needed a memory foam topper to satisfy your feel for memory foam and finish that new mattress system, that @Sleep_EZ could probably make that happen as they are one of the best at customer service and satisfying their customers.
