I’ve searched posts and haven’t found anything yet, so hoping to get some help here. We are looking for a new mattress for 2 adults
Sleeper 1: Back/stomach mainly. 170lbs 5’11
Sleeper 2: Side mainly, then back, and some weird combo of both. 140lbs 5’8
Last year we got a Luma Original in medium for our son. We had to add a Helix quilted topper for me to like it, but I’ve never spent a full night. For the few hours I lay there sometimes, it’s comfortable. We considered the same for us, but it’s no longer an option.here in Canada.
We like the feel of a hybrid latex. The bed must ship to Canada. I’m currently looking at the MGM Kiwi, however I thought it might be too firm given it uses Dunlop. It’s rated as medium, but now I see that the ILD ratings (22-24) look like it’s falling into the soft category. So maybe it would work?
Second option is the Spindle Organic Hybrid. There’s no info on the site re firmness, but a search of this forum lists it as a med firm with 6" coils and 3" Dunlop comfort layer.
Is there any real difference in feel of spring size? For example the Kiwi uses 8" coils with 2" latex and I believe the Spindle is 6" coils with 3" latex. I understand feel is subjective, but overall what is the difference in feel for those two configurations?
For the above options, which is better for the sleepers listed?
TIA!
