Daughter & husband do not have time to mattress shop and are a wits end. They’ve instructed me to shop for them. Need king size (family bed many nights with toddlers).
1st sleeper is 6’2", 170 lbs, back sleeper with scoliosis
2nd sleeper is 5’4", 220 lbs, side and stomach sleeper.
Could you recommend a mattress configuration for us? Sleeper 1 says he’ll sleep on anything. Currently coming from a Temperpedic that is about 15 years old. Sleeper 2 says it’s too hot, thus latex will be best. They did say they wanted firm - but “some” cushioning is good. I went to Ashley with her and she discounted many beds she landed on saying too soft. She liked a Sealy Posturpedic II that was supposedly firm, but we’re not buying that junk.
Thank you!
Thank you for reaching out to us. Based on the info I would recommend this model with the Firmness choice of Firm/Firm and the default 2" soft topper. King or Queen Adjustable Ultra Plush Latex Sleep System (Blended), #1 Selling Latex Mattress- Adjustable Ultra Plush, Latex Mattresses-Talalay and Dunlop, All Products Firm support with some cush on top. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you. I am so sorry I had the weights wrong, but have put correct ones below. I am going to assume still same bed, Firm/Firm but maybe with a 3" topper instead. They said something more medium than soft for the topper. At a weight of 250 she does not want to just sink to the firm layer. They can always put a soft topper on top if needed. Does that sound right? Again, many thanks!
1st sleeper: 6’2" - 220 lbs
2nd sleeper: 5’4" 250 lbs
I would do the 3" medium in that case.
