Help deciding on eco sleep hybrid options

I am 5’9, 150lbs, combo side/stomach sleeper, sleep fairly hot, and don’t love feeling like I’m sinking/trapped in a mattress/like it to have some bounce. sleep alone.

I replaced my old 13+ yo mattress with a “cooling” memory foam hybrid, it was way too hot, so I tried brooklyn bedding’s ecosleep, a latex hybrid, and I like it much better, it sleeps cool, it’s got good bounce, but I think it’s uncomfortably firm. it’s 2" of talalay (unknown firmness) on 8" coils with a wool top. (it’s advertised as 3" of latex, but that is not what I received, and then their customer service has given me different specs every time I’ve spoken to them… so, I’m not thrilled with them)

I’ve been looking at the APM Eco Sleep Hybrid Mattress, but I have no real clue what would be best as far as firmness and coils (it looks like maybe Bolsa since I side sleep?). any advice on how to proceed?

Our Eco Sleep with the Bolsa coil upgrade and the 3" #28 Talalay (yes, actually 3") would be a very safe choice. 2" is not enough separation from the coil so I’m not surprised it’s not working. You can copy our names but not our quality or designs.

if (allegedly) the 2" that is there on this mattress is 28 and I’m finding that too firm, would 3" make a difference in or would you recommend the 19?

@Arizona_Premium

It’s a combination of coils and latex that determine the overall feel. Our Bolsa along with 3" #19 would offer a soft yet supportive combination for sure. The #28 option is the most popular but if you are strictly a side sleeper then stick with the #19. Not sure what coil Brooklyn uses although the make their own coils so I have no way to compare without knowing coil count and gauge of wire.
