I am looking to get a new hybrid mattress. I have never ventured towards...

I am 5’8 150lbs and a side sleeper.

I have owned a sealy hybrid trust hybrid mattress for almost 5 years, I love this mattress, however my room mate needs a mattress so I am going to give him mine, I think us-mattress had my trust at 4.5 comfort scale “firm”. I see sealy has a new hybrid called “Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid Premium Silver Chill Plush Mattress” for 1799. It has a comfort scale of 6.0 so would this be too soft for me as a side sleeper?

I’ve had mine for 5 years @ 4.5 comfort, and its broken in and extremely comfortable but I wished I had a slightly softer bed for me side sleeping. I also ran into a mattress called "Temperpedic Pro-adapt medium. They are rating this bed as a 5.0 comfort. but the bed/boxspring/etc is going to run me 3000!

Will the temperpedic outlast the sealy hybrid? 1799 vs 3000. The sealy claims a double cooling factor in the fabric cover and in the gel. While the Temperpedic only claims the mattress cover has some initial cooling. Now, I have no idea if my current bed has any cooling properties and I sleep fine, but I do have a bedroom in the 2nd floor of my house, so cooler would be better. Which would probably be cooler?

Between these two mattress’s which would you pick? I want quality, but if the sealy is the better mattress I’d definitely be looking at that instead. I am going to link the beds below for information. I really appreciate any info! I bought my hybrid 5 years ago for 1100 bucks, I love it, but if I am going to be upgrading I want to get a quality bed that will last me. Also, which bed would probably be better for me being 150 lbs 5’8? My partner is 100-110lbs as well.

orrrrrr

Purple 4 mattress. Just ran across it from some recommendations. Are purple mattress’s any good?

Theres a couple different levels, 2/3/4. Are they cheaply made mattress’s?

I’m probably not the person to be asking those questions to since I am very vocal about my feelings towards anything with memory foam but I will do my best to answer your questions. The cool aspect of either of those mattresses is short lived once you’ve been on them for 2 or 3 minutes. Yes they are cool to the touch but not after your body heats them up. Latex is the foam that is truly cooler than other foams. I believe the Sealy would be the better choice in your case. The pocket coil spring would be better than the foam base used in the Tempurpedic. I would probably choose the Purple over either of those choices however.

You might want to look into a latex-pocket coil hybrid as well since those have been our best sellers for over a year now. At lease it would be another option to compare those to.

The temperpedict is also a hybrid, this is the video. do you think this temper hybrid is going to be same quality as the sealy or is there going to be a larger gap? I will be browsing your store. Ive never heard of the purple people until last night.

Heres the temper preadapt video, its like 50 seconds long but shows whats in it.

Tempurpedic is very proud of their name and with that comes a steep price. Since they own Sealy it’s a pretty good bet that the Sealy is a better value.

Do you have any stores in my area that you would recommend me go check out?
45415 is my area code. I would like to go be better informed on other possible choices.

Sorry we don’t however is you search either Savvy Rest or Pure Latex Bliss, they both have models that compare closely to our offerings. We often match specs for customers looking to save a lot of money.
