I have been sleeping on my discontinued Beautyrest Harmony Lux Diamond ultra plush pillow top mattress since 2023, in the past 1 month, it hurts my back when I get up in the morning. I purchaed that kind of my firm mattress, please I would like to know is that good mattress brand?
I did asked employee in store “Is it has innerspring or pocketed spring?” then she told me “It has pocketed coil”, is that correct? Please stick with my thread
Pocket springs is the same as pocket coils yes. And if it says ultra plush, the issue might be that you are too heavy for the bed. For a heavier man you need the support to be stronger so you dont get misaligned. It can still be soft on the top but the support needs to be firmer
I hope my new Sherwood Bedding Factory Select model M2035-05-FS has no innerspring, I hope it has pocketed spring???
Filbert,
What happened to your ultra-plush mattress you loved and bought a few years ago. Was it not supporting you, or did your preferences change and you needed something different?
Maverick
Oh, just saw the original post here in the thread. Did the mattress develop any sagging that is the cause of you waking up in pain? You are going from an ultra plush to a firm, which is a big jump. The good thing is, if you find the new one too firm, you can cut the firmness back with a topper.
Oh yeah i misread your post. You’re going to a firm bed now. Most beds these days have pocket coils, not the open coil innerspring units. That bed you got has pocket coil.
Like maverick said, firm might feel little hard for you if side sleeping. It would probably be great for back sleeping though. And yes you can add a topper if you need to soften it like he said too. That’s something you wouldnt have an option for if your bed was plush. So its better to have a bed starting a little on the firm side.
