Latex Hybrid Search

Hello!

I’m really glad I found this site and I’m hoping you all can help me with my mattress search. I am a 36 year old woman, about 160lbs, 5’9”/5’10” depending on the day, and I’m a side and stomach sleeper. I’ve been sleeping on a low budget innerspring Serta mattress for about 10 years and I added a 2” latex topper from Sleep on Latex to it about 3 years ago and I’ve been pretty satisfied with the bed since.

I’ve decided to move this bed into my guest room and do an upgrade of my bedroom, moving from a full to a queen size mattress. I got a new bedframe (Zinus Linda) that I really like and I decided to try to the Leesa Sapria Hybrid for my mattress. I’ve had it for about a week and a half and I think it’s too firm. I also don’t like the slight stuck feeling I was getting. The last couple of nights I added my latex topper so that I could sleep better. I’m now thinking that maybe a latex hybrid could be a good option because my sleep improved and I enjoyed the topper with my innerspring mattress. I did try a bunch a mattresses before getting the Leesa but I think I got a little overwhelmed. From the ones I tried I liked the Brooklyn Bedding Signature with pillow top, the Sedona and my favorite was the Avocado Green in Medium (which again is making me think something with latex may be for me). I want to keep the mattress under $1600 so any recommendations would be great! I live in the Baltimore area and I’d ideally like to try it before I buy so if anyone can help with locating showrooms that would be great too! Thank you so much!

Thanks My Green Mattress.

I’ve decided that I do want a latex hybrid and I’m considering the Sleep EZ hybrid and the Luxurion Hybrid. I’m wondering if the Dunlop or Talalay would be best for me as a mostly stomach (75% of the time) and side sleeper? Any experts have thoughts?

For your weight, a soft top layer would work best for your bed. Now whichever you pick just comes down to preferences in price.

I think you could get a diymattress from diymattress.net with the 6" base springs and 3" of soft dunlop and that would feel quite good for about 900.

Or you could find a latex hybrid on facebook marketplace, ill add for very affordable prices based on what ive seen, usually any standard latex mattress will have a medium firmness, then you could buy a soft latex layer and a topper cover to put on top and that would come out perfect as well.

Youll probably get the advantage of having a higher quality spring set from a nice like new birch standard, or one of the many others ive seen on markeplace and only have to spend under 500 for it. Then the soft 2" talaylay topper with the cover would cost about 350 for the plush effect.
