New member, after reading for an hour I realize I am in over my head and its time to “Talk to the Experts”
Wanting to try a Latex Mattress, don’t want to do a complete DIY project but def don’t mind putting it together shipped from 1 company.
Leaning towards all Tallalay Mattress, stomach sleeper. I am 5"11 230 42 yrs old. Muscle related back and hip pain. King size. Wife is prob 5’4 140 but can sleep on anything.
Not too picky on the firmness somewhere in the middle is fine. Being able to adjust the layers to my specification/level of firmness would be a positive.
We ordered a King size bed from Pottery Barn that recommends a 5.5 in Box spring for all mattress types if box springs aren’t all equal I assume I need advice on brand type of that as well.
Talalay Latex is a great choice with all the various densities available. There are a couple companies that can help with your request.
You should consider a company that can address your different body characteristics and sleeping positions. @FloBeds, @Sleep_EZ, and @CST should all be able to build a mattress specifically to your needs. I would suggest you review each of their websites and take it from there.
You are on the right track! In my opinion a latex mattress will out live any other mattress on the market, if you go with an adjustable system with a wide range of Talalay latex densities, your sure to find the right combo.
