Latex Split Mattress Configuration-help on adjustment

I’m 160 lbs side/back sleeper and my husband is 260 lbs side/stomach sleeper. We purchased Adjustable Ultra Plush latex mattress configuration, 6" talalay core: medium/firm, 3" talalay medium topper because my husband was worried about feeling the split between the sides. We knew that we might need to buy a soft topper to help with my pressure points. We’ve been sleeping on it for a month. My husband is happy and can tell the difference between the sides (not me), but it doesn’t feel uncomfortable. I’m waking up stiff and need to make an adjustment. We could do one of the following: 1) change my 3" comfort layer to soft-can someone comment on the feel of the split? 2) get a soft topper-I’m leaning toward 3", but it might be too much for my husband and might not last long? 3) get a split soft/medium topper-besides spending more money is that much different from option 1? How would it feel? Would anyone have a different suggestion? Thanks.
