Latex topper for stomach sleeper

Hi, I’m a stomach sleeper and i recently bought an 8 inch foam mattress to satisfy my sleeping position needs. However i realized that after one week from using the mattress that it sags a little from the middle section maybe because there is more pressure on that part (I’m 210 lbs). I asked around they said to me that i better buy a natural latex topper. So i referred to you to know whether this is a good solution? secondly are natural latex toppers ideal for stomach sleepers or not?

Hello Proud2000

Thank you for your inquiry.

Toppers are primarily used to create a softer sleep surface for an already firm mattress. Stomach sleepers tend to need a firm sleep surface to keep from bowing into the mattress from lack of support (or too much contour), thus causing back pain. Because of this, I would not recommend a topper for you. Secondly, if your mattress has broken down, and is showing body impressions, a topper will not fix it, but instead most likely magnify the issue. A foam topper will contour to the mattress it sits on. If your mattress has an uneven surface, a topper will simply contour to it, and the body impressions will still be present.

I recommend speaking with the company your mattress was purchased from regarding warranty/return options. Depending on their return/exchange policy, they may exchange your mattress for another model, or refund your money back.

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks again!
