Currently sleeping on a Nolah Evolution Luxury firm witch is their middle firmness level for the past 5 year, neither of us are particularly happy with it at this point. I have been using a large foam wedge the past few years on top of the mattress, no wedge for my partner. Plan on getting the incline adjustable base so I can ditch the wedge in split king.
Previous to this mattress we did have a tempur-pedic which I slept well on but caused my partner pain, hence why we got the Nolah.
Putting our stats into SleepEZ website (me - 5’10", 235lbs, side / partner - 5’5", 165llbs, side) we got the following recommendations:
Layer #1: 3-inch Talalay, split – Medium + Soft
Layer #2: 3-inch Dunlop – Medium + Medium
Layer #3: 3-inch Dunlop – Firm + Firm
Layer #4: 3-inch Dunlop – Extra Firm + Extra Firm
The question I have is about the recommendation for medium top layer on my side as I was fond of the old tempur-pedic would I be more happy with soft on top? I typically start out on my back but mostly sleep on side, partner is a side sleeper.
Thanks for any input
