Hello,
I’ve been doing a lot of research and think I’ve narrowed things down to the Luxerion Hybrid from Latex Mattress Factory, but I wanted to double-check that it seems like the right choice based on my situation.
I’m 25 years old, 6’3” and 167 pounds. I mostly sleep on my side, though I occasionally shift to my back. Lately I’ve been dealing with persistent upper back and neck pain, especially when I sleep on my side. I’m currently on a pretty basic Costco Sealy spring mattress, which I think may be contributing to the issue — it doesn’t feel like there’s much of a comfort layer, and I don’t think it’s offering enough pressure relief around my shoulders and neck.
What I’m looking for is something that provides solid support while still giving me enough pressure relief for side sleeping. I also tend to sleep warm, so cooling is important. I’ve been avoiding memory foam and pillow tops, and I’m hoping to find something with breathable materials that’s built to last.
The Luxerion Hybrid caught my attention because of the Talalay latex comfort layer, zoned pocket coil support, and simple, non-pillow-top construction. Based on everything I’ve read here, it seems like a great match — but I just want to confirm that it makes sense for my body type, sleep style, and the pain I’m dealing with.
Thanks!

Hi T8theMan thanks for the inquiry and welcome to the forums! Based on the information you’ve provided, I think the Luxerion Hybrid will be ideal! The top Talalay layer should provide all the contour and pressure relief needed to avoid any pressure point issues and will add secondary support to the mattress. Secondary support is needed to fill in the gaps between your body and the mattress – back sleepers normally need secondary support to fill in the gaps between the small of their back and the mattress; side sleepers normally need secondary support to fill in the gaps between their mid-section and the mattress, and stomach sleepers normally need this under their belly or in their upper shoulder / clavicle area. If these parts of a person’s body aren’t supported by the mattress, their muscles will work throughout the night to hold these parts of the body up, and by the time they wake up they’ve got back pain. So the top 3” of Talalay latex will provide contour, pressure relief, and secondary support. The 6" coils should provide all the support needed to maintain proper spinal alignment and avoid back pain. So I think this will be a great choice! Just FYI, the coils aren’t zoned in the sense that they have a different firmness in your hip area versus your shoulder area or anything like that, they just have firmer coils around the perimeter for enhanced edge support.
