Mattress Hell Continues

Hi again,

I posted here before with my mattress struggles and you guys were amazing. I ended up going with a Naturpedic EOS cushion firm combo that felt absolutely heavenly in the storeroom. When it arrived 3 weeks later it felt like I was just sleeping on coils. I thought this meant that maybe the latex wasn’t firm enough and was just collapsing under me so I was feeling the coils but after talking to the sales rep he thought it was because the coils were too firm. Initially he told me I would have to wait at least 2 weeks before switching any components but his coworker responded to my email and said he could order softer coils immediately. I have never slept on latex before but I did buy a medium topper to put on the mattress and the feeling just feels like it is not providing enough cushion and support for spinal alignment. It feels like it is pushing against my spine if that makes sense…I want to find something that both supports and takes pressure off the hips and shoulders when I am side sleeping and wondering if latex is the right material to find this perfect goldilocks combo? The material feels so bouncy…I am still waiting on the softer coils but part of me thinks it will be too soft…

I did get the foundation they recommended and have a pillow that has worked well for me for years as a side note.

One thing to keep in mind is that, if the coils are too soft, there’s really no way to fix that properly, even if you put an extra firm topper over the coils. Hopefully the coils are the right firmness, otherwise my advice is to stick with the setup you have and maybe add a Talalay topper or something like that.
