Mattress Noobie Looking for some guidance please

Hello, my experience with mattresses is limited to usually getting about the cheapest I could find. Recently, my wife has been having lots of complaints about neck/shoulder/body pain plus she is a very light sleeper and we are both hot when sleeping. Within the last week, I’ve started searching for a new mattress/bed, and I have been seeing lots of these for around $4K like sleep number, purple, etc. While I am not totally ruling those options out, they seem overpriced and I am very skeptical about all the features they claim to have. I also had a friend mention Ghostbed to me, and they had a good looking mattress called the Luxe Hybrid and it is on sale for around $2K. Can someone with experience using a Ghostbed chime in, or really anyone with some advice for me? I think the most important things would be something to help my wife with her pain and running as cool as possible as I really dislike the idea of hooking up something like a bed jet. Thank you!

I have no experience with the Ghost Bed but I will chime in anyway. Simply put, the more a company spends in advertising (customer acquisition) the more you pay at the door. I recently read an article that said Purple spends over 50% of their revenue in advertising. I hope this helps. Smaller independent manufacturers would give you the best bang for the buck.

good to know, thank you!

Welcoming any more feedback or advice please and thank you.

Id skip Purple and Sleep Number. Purple? Not enough support. SN? Hammocking

Give BackScience 2 and 3 a shot! The hypergel is comfy plus the support is great!
