Please help me!

Hey guys!

I have been struggling for years with sleep both me and my partner. We are both so different…

I’m 5ft 8 wide shoulders wide hips “muscular “ lower back retrolethises and prefer something firm that doesn’t allow my spine to move or flex much. But also not TOOO firm that causes pressure points. Never really had a coil bed before and wonder if that’s the right move!

My girl is 5ft 6 155lbs and has fibromyalgia and can’t find a good level of softness without losing the support.

Does anybody make a “split” firmness option or even twin XL set that could accommodate us for under $2k shipped? I think latex is what we want to go with because foam ALWAYS compresses and sags for my wide heavy hips within a year it just feels different.

Please help us lol

Hello,

If you are interested in latex for your next mattress we would love for you to check out our latex hybrid mattresses. Our Natural Escape model offers a top tier innerspring support paired with 3" of organic latex for a luxurious feel. Hi Jalvarez145788,

Several companies on the TMU platform can create a split mattress with different densities, including two separate Twin XL’s.

Utilizing latex over poly is a wise choice in my opinion, particularly for your partner with fibromyalgia. It’s been my experience that the top layer of the mattress should be slightly softer than what her weight would otherwise dictate. Just make sure that the material under the top layer is not extremely firm. That would defeat the purpose of the softer top layer.

In her case, a 3-inch 19 ILD should be considered for the top layer.

I hope this helps.

Thank you very much, Bob and what would you recommend for the ILD for the layers underneath for her and do you have any recommendations for companies that can do this? I see Arizona Mattress company, but those seem to be shipped to you in a box and then you build them from the ground up and I’m not sure about durability in longevity.

Hello,

Thanks for your input. Would you say that the mattress without any topper wood support me and what I am looking for and then just adding a one or 2 inch Talalay soft topper for her side would get the job done? I’m to the point where I don’t even care if each side is flush and uniform I just want us both to sleep well.

I believe almost all full latex mattress companies ship their beds this way. It doesn’t affect durability.

I think the mattress by itself would be a good fit, you can always add an additional topper if needed. Generally organic latex does lean a bit firmer than regular foams. A separate topper sounds like it would be a good fit to give you flexibility to find the right feel and firmness.

Hi Jalvarez145788,

Shipping latex compressed will not damage the material. Because latex is heavier than poly, many times it’s shipped in layers simply because its much easier for the customer to handle once delivered.
