Hi everyone,
I’ve recently been trying to improve my sleep during pregnancy, especially because side sleeping has become much harder than I expected. I keep hearing about using a pregnancy pillow for side sleeping but I’m curious how people actually position and use them comfortably throughout the night.
Right now I’m waking up with hip pain, shoulder pressure, and constantly tossing from one side to the other. I’ve tried regular pillows between my knees, but it still doesn’t feel supportive enough. From what I’ve been reading, many people use pregnancy pillows for sleeping to help with spinal alignment, belly support, and reducing pressure on the hips and lower back.
I’d love to know:
- How to use a pregnancy pillow properly for side sleeping?
- Are U-shaped or C-shaped pillows better?
- Do you place the pillow under your belly or mainly between the knees?
- Did it actually improve your sleep quality and comfort?
I also noticed some people say a body pillow plus a supportive head pillow works better than large pregnancy pillows. Others mention that proper shoulder and hip alignment makes a huge difference during side sleeping.
Would really appreciate hearing real experiences and tips because getting comfortable at night is becoming a challenge lately. Thanks in advance!
