Question about mattress cover for 16" DIY build

Hi there! I am currently configurating a DIY hybrid mattress. My set-up is at this present time:

TPS 8" QuadCoils

TPS 3" QuadMini

@APM 2" Talalay firm latex

APM 2" Talalay medium latex

But after speaking with someone familiar with TPS coils, I have learned it is best to add the recommended 1" HD foam base for stability. Due to the additional 1" added, I am looking at a 16" mattress.

Would the 15" Bamboo-Wool mattress cover fit 16" of foam, latex, and springs?

I have read about a snug fit from other consumers, but seen the cover stretches as well.

Also, another question that has just come to mind: should I do a firm dunlop base instead of HD foam for better longevity?

@Arizona_Premium

Since itโ€™s at the bottom the HD foam should last just as long as the more expensive dunlop. The cover will be tight initially but should have enough stretch to work fine. The weight of everything on top of the HD foam will compress it down at least a half inch anyway.

@Arizona_Premium Thank you so much for your response!

My next question would be: if the HD foam is compressed by half an inch, it should still be good for stability?

Yes, no problem with that

Okay, that sounds reassuring and great to hear for my DIY journey.
