Savvy Rest vs Sleep EZ

Hello!

While I am sure this has been discussed, it is difficult for me to find this direct comparison in the forum, so if you wouldn’t mind, would you address this question again:

I went to a local Savvy Rest and I was totally sold on the Serenity. Then I saw the Sleep EZ organic latex mattress 10000 queen online, which seems IDENTICAL to the Savvy Rest Serenity-- 3 separate layers of organic latex in our choice of dunlop or talalay and firmness, which can be switched as needed, in an organic cover. However, there is a price difference of nearly one thousand dollars.

Am I missing something?

Thank you, Phoenix!

Hi dunleadogg,

No … you aren’t missing anything. Savvy Rest gives you a choice of either 100% natural Talalay (made by Radium) or organic 100% natural Dunlop made by CoCo latex. SleepEz gives you the choice of either blended Talalay or 100% natural Talalay (either Radium or Latex International) or 100% natural Dunlop made by Latex Green. There may be small differences in the firmness of the layers between them and the covers will also be slightly different but in essence they are very similar and provide the same options. SleepEz also has a good return policy in addition to their exchange policy while Savvy Rest only has an exchange option. There is more about the difference between organic Dunlop and 100% natural Dunlop in post #6 here but outside of the certification they are essentially the same in terms of feel and performance.

A forum search on SleepEz Savvy Rest will bring up many posts that discuss both of them.

Our local Savvy Rest store told us that Savvy Prices are going up in June. My immediate response was to panic and jump to the conclusion that bedding/latex prices would be increasing everywhere. Then I realized it might be a sales ploy, or just this store, or just Savvy Rest.

What I really like about Savvy Rest is that you can try just about any configuration in their stores. Most of the demo beds are split, so you can try most combinations of different layers and you can compare talalay to dunlop. I don’t like their prices and their promises can be a little optimistic (this bed will last you 20 years probably longer…well, maybe, maybe not, none of the sales persons have had their beds for 20 years). I also don’t like their covers, which are cotton with wool batting. I understand the benefit of the wool being fire-resistant, I just don’t like the feel of this particular kind of cover, I prefer to feel close to the foam.

Now that our ill pet has passed on, I need to call Sleep EZ and some other places to finally move forward with our mattress purchase. It wasn’t realistic when there was a high risk of any new bedding getting soiled :frowning:

Bouven,

My local Savvy Rest store also told me that prices will increase 20% on June 1st.

I’m sorry about the loss of your pet. :frowning:

Hi Bouven,

I’m also sorry about the loss of your dog … I know from my own experience how difficult that can be.

Talking with SleepEz is certainly a great idea and you will find they are very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful.

It’s unfortunate that Savvy Rest prices are going up by such a large amount when they already carry a fairly significant premium over other similar mattresses.

Oh no, knock on wood-- there is a third poster who lost her pet, not me! :frowning:

Hi dunleadogg,

Oops … I addressed my reply to the wrong person.

I’ve edited it so it’s now addressed to Bouven … sorry.
