After a year of trying, searching, and losing money; I still can land on the perfect mattress for my side sleeper needs. I am a female 5’ 5’’ 140 pounds who tends to sleep hot (but getting better with hot flashes)at times still. I have tried Casper Dream Max (too hot and gave numbness at times in legs and arms) Serta Perfect Sleeper Max ( too hot and hard); now I am on a Saatva plush classic…cooler but now giving hip pain was ok at first with topper). Tried Avocado Green in store not fan of soft one, medium with pillow top seemed ok. I would like a long trial if possible with limited return fees; but open to anything right now. Heard good things about DLX and Engineered Sleep but how are they for mid size side sleeper? And have difficulty bringing it into my house and setting up. I have a solid Temper Pedic base that want to use. Is new. Sorry for the misspellings. Can’t keep going on like this for long.
Hi @Les - thank you for sharing your journey with us! I am leaning towards our Duo Latex (not latex plus) for a few reasons. It does not have any memory foam - so should sleep cooler for you. Also, if you thought the Avocado Green medium was ok - this one would be in that range. Lastly, our Duo Mattresses have a flippable Duo Support - which allows you to try 2 different feels at your house and they also come with a Comfort Exchange in case we need to try a different Duo Comfort Top. You would be able to switch to a different amount of latex, memory foam, a combination or even a no foam options (our Duo Lift).
If we do not get it right the first try - we can typically make the corrections during our Comfort Exchange.
We offer a 100 Night Trial and we do have In-Home Setup available. I hope that answers all your questions, but I am here if any more come up!
